THE WHITE BEAUTY

But for me an absolutely stunning and extremely emotional Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar. Not only because of the guitar itself, but because of the story behind her.

I got this beautiful guitar brand new from the Music Zoo in New York. One of the best guitar shops there in the USA. Just to have this one in my little guitar collection. It was never the plan to give it out, to play this guitar to someone.

I had it at my home in the case. Like a treasure. During that time I already knew Anna and also the Sixsters because first she escaped to Switzerland when the war starts, not to Germany. On a Saturday after her German lessons she had in Zurich on the way back home she made a stopover at my place. To show me a little bit some new stuff from the Sixsters music. I think she knew for sure that she could trust me.

After that (what I remember) we opened some guitar cases to have a look what's inside. To show her some of my guitars. Was fun and interesting for sure.

When we opened that case with the Gibson Les Paul, this special white one with Floyd Rose I could see and feel that she was very surprised and interested in this guitar. So I decided to ask her if she would like to try it out a bit, to play it maybe? Yes, if possible she would like it very much. So she took the guitar home this afternoon, to St. Gallen where she left at the moment to study there.

It was so impressive to see how she liked this white Beauty. Although Les Paul guitars are heavier in weight than most of the other guitars. A short time later she told / wrote me that she will take and play this guitar for the new video "For us, for me". A very special one with a great song and all the girls in very beautiful clothes. Until today I think I watched that video a 100 times or more. Not only because of that guitar, absolutely not. But the combination of all in this song and also to see Anna playing this guitar she liked very much, I will never forget. This feelings will stay forever!

Anna also played that guitar for a few shows live, for a few songs. Was very cool to see that 😊

But for the Sixsters sound it's better to have next to the Les Paul or similar ones of Maria's guitars to have a Fender Strat. A good mix what I understood.

So they decided to give back the guitar to me. Anna signed the guitar just on the evening when they created the video "Underground". A little bit out in the woods, during the whole night, haha. It was amazing to be there also to see the whole process of this video. Until the next morning at about 05.30 am I think!

So in this guitar are so many emotions and memory. From the beginning she went out from my place until she came back to me. I see it every day, hanging at a special place here at home. And if I touch it, it's like a spiritual thing. You could believe it or not. Not to explain.
